These People Wish They Never Told These Blatant Lies Online

Darren December 13, 2023

It’s a fact that many people behave badly and just plain strangely on the Internet because they think nobody will question them. That’s why some of them tell blatant lies online because they want their followers to think they’re interesting. However, sometimes their fellow social media denizens call them out because their stories are complete garbage.

Today we’ll look at some of the most incredible and ridiculous stories on the Internet. It’s hilarious how other people proved that they weren’t telling the truth and destroyed them in the comments. This hilarious backlash made these stupid Netizens wish that they never told these lies online.

DoorDash Lie

Some people love to give delivery drivers a difficult time and tell blatant lies about them online. Here’s a bizarre situation where somebody sought attention for an indefinable reason. They faked a receipt that included an offensive message about the addition of basil to the order.

Reddit

Another person instantly called them out and said that this was a weird thing to lie about. The lack of a charge was a clear giveaway while it also says to go. This couldn’t have been the case because a cashier rang it up. It’s amazing what some folks do when they’re hunting for likes on the Internet (via Reddit).

Morality Police

BrewDog began as a craft beer company but eventually evolved into one of the U.K.’s biggest exporters. They released a campaign against Qatar’s World Cup corruption. This saw them create a beer called ‘Lost Lager’ and they said they’d donate all profits to human rights charities. This sounds great on paper, but it’s not the full story.

Twitter

They’re happy to criticize the Qatar human rights abuses in the U.K but they’re still selling beer in the country. Somebody spotted this and called them out online because it’s a clear case of hypocrisy. More people will buy their products in Qatar than will purchase Lost Lager (via Reddit).

Production Mistake

It’s always hilarious when a major corporation tells blatant lies to the public. The BBC claimed that they made a production error in the middle of a Remembrance Day ceremony. This saw them cut to archaic footage that they shouldn’t have used. But they told lies online when they claimed it was a momentary mistake.

Cheezburger

This didn’t impress their followers who immediately noticed their attempt to manipulate the truth. One TV veteran wrote that their online lies were insulting and laughable because they were so obvious. He advised them to own up to the mistake and tell the truth instead of hiding behind falsehoods (via Cheezburger).

Local Liar

Restaurant owners have a love-hate relationship with reviewers because of the impact they have on businesses. Firstly, they can provide a lot of benefits and encourage people to come to their restaurant. However, a bad review can cause a lot of damage and dissuade people from visiting.

Reddit

This owner called out a reviewer’s online lies after they claimed to have experienced poor service. They wrote that the staff behaved rudely and with no respect. However, the truth emerged when the owner replied and said that the reviewer failed to comply with local mask regulations (via Littler).

Ring Fail

It’s incredible how people set themselves up for humiliation on the Internet with online lies. The following image shows a man pretending to craft a beautiful wooden ring. He said that after 10 failed attempts he finally completed a perfect ring. But a quick Google search proves he’s a liar.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Somebody called him out online and proved that this wasn’t true. They sarcastically wrote that it was amazing that his ring was identical to another one on the Internet. This isn’t good because he is appropriating somebody else’s work and taking credit. He had nothing to gain by doing this other than some superficial likes on social media (via Reddit).

Didn’t Happen

Many people have passionate opinions about politics and the state of the nation but we’re not here to talk about that. Every argument is fair as long as they can reasonably back up their opinion with factual evidence. Don’t tell online lies like the person below after his son’s graduation ceremony.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

He claimed that his son’s history professor began a graduation speech with the words: “I hate America.’ But he didn’t expect the academic to respond to him on Twitter with an emphatic denial. The historian embarrassed the original Tweeter and he deleted his post. But it was too late because the Internet never forgets (via Reddit).

Tornado Drill

Many bigoted people on the Internet act in a horrible manner. They try to turn every situation into a subject of hate and go off on ridiculous rants. We’re not sure if this person tried to tell online lies or if they’re gullible enough to believe everything they read. Either way, they don’t appear to be much fun at parties.

Imgur

They tried to turn this image into an anti-Muslim post but somebody called them out with a simple explanation. “It’s a tornado drill,” they wrote as they destroyed the previous comments. Nothing is better than when people crush bigots without being offensive. They prove their arguments wrong in the funniest way (via Imgur).

Fake Credit

Here is one of the most ridiculous made-up stories ever because this person doesn’t know how money works. They spun a bunch of lies about how their boyfriend and his ex broke up after she cheated on him. Then the boyfriend began signing her name every time he faced a bill.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

The poster claimed that this made the ex responsible for all of the costs. But that isn’t how it works and several other people called out her lies online. One of them said that they have zero understanding of how banking or credit works. This was obvious because their story didn’t make sense at all (via Reddit).

Fat Genes

One woman went on a rant on social media about society’s perception of weight. She claimed that many men fat-shame women but this is unfair because it’s genetic. The person complained about this and said that only lazy men are fat. But her words came back to haunt her.

Imgur

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

That’s because her brother joined the conversation and revealed that she doesn’t have a genetic condition. He threw her under the bus as he called out her lies online by saying that doctors advised her to lose weight. She may require burn cream because he scorched her in front of the world (via Imgur).

Not True

Perhaps it’s too harsh to say that this person lied online but they spread misinformation. It doesn’t matter if people do this unknowingly because they have a responsibility to be aware. This person claimed that a Sudanese model entered the Guinness Book of Records for having the darkest skin tone in the world.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

However, the official Guinness World Records account responded to his tweet with a denial. They explained that his explanation wasn’t true because they don’t monitor skin tone. This is unsurprising because it would be very controversial and could create a lot of problems for them (via Reddit).

Brand New

Many people try to flog their unwanted goods online. There’s nothing wrong with this because we all have stuff that we don’t use or want. However, it’s wise to think about this before advertising them or sharing them on social media. Otherwise, things can backfire very quickly.

Facebook

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

This man tried to sell a pair of sunglasses on Facebook and claimed that they were unworn. However, there was one crucial detail that he overlooked. Another Facebook user noticed that he was wearing the same sunglasses in his profile picture and called out his lies online (via Pinterest).

Change User

One of the stupidest things that people can do on the Internet is to forget to change their accounts. Some strange folks have multiple accounts that they use to drive up traction and validate themselves online. The following image shows what happens when this goes wrong and makes someone look like a moron.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

A woman went on a tedious rant about cheating and respecting relationships before replying to herself online. As one person observed: “You forgot to switch accounts, you clown.” This is very pathetic because it shows a desire for attention that seems unhealthy (via Reddit).

Rough Life

The following story came from Facebook as a young woman revealed how tough her childhood was. She said that she had no idea how poor she was until she dated someone from the suburbs. But she didn’t account for her mother calling out her lies online and humiliating her in front of her friends.

9Gag

The mom mercilessly crushed her daughter’s claims by mentioning all of the things she enjoyed as a youngster. Then the daughter replied and threatened to block her for making inappropriate comments. It’s clear that this young woman lacks maturity and should be more grateful to her parents (via 9Gag).

Fire Fighter

Most people’s parents feel a lot of pride in their children and are happy to talk about their achievements. But some people take this too far by exaggerating and even lying about what they’ve done. The following case is a fine example of somebody telling blatant lies online about their offspring.

Facebook

One mother said that her son helped to fight a fire but this wasn’t true. The son himself responded to her Facebook comment and emphatically denied it. He said that he was working during the incident and had nothing to do with it. He didn’t want people to think he was taking credit for something he didn’t do (via Reddit).

Suitcase Boy

It’s amazing what people will say or do to generate content on the Internet. This young man made the bogus claim that he smuggled himself on a plane to another city. He claimed that he boarded the transport in a suitcase and escaped unnoticed. It doesn’t matter that this would probably kill him or that security would never allow it.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Meanwhile, the Australian airline responded to his Tweet and exposed his lies online. They said that they even had footage of him boarding the plane as they embarrassed him in front of the world. We’ve no idea why he thought that anybody would believe him but there are strange people out there (via Reddit).

Measles Vaccine

Nobody enjoys getting measles because it’s an uncomfortable experience that leaves red dots all over the body. These days most people receive a vaccine when they’re young and this protects them later in life. However, this person claimed to have taken the vaccine but experienced the virus three times.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

However, another person with a rudimentary knowledge of the illness noted that it’s impossible to get measles more than once. They made a mockery of his nonsense and destroyed his online lies. Weirdly, he thought that this would drive up his street cred but there’s no explaining the actions of some people (via Reddit).

This Guy

Some dubious internet publications tell blatant lies online but nobody knows any better. It’s wise not to involve real people in these situations because it can backfire very quickly. The following Twitter exchange reveals what happens when everything goes wrong in this type of dumb scenario.

Bored Panda

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

One website claimed that a ripped individual would advise readers how to prepare for a triathlon. But they used his image without permission and didn’t expect him to reply to their lies online. However, he did and ruined the feature by telling the world the truth (via Bored Panda).

Teaching Teachers

The following story is one of the strangest and most delusional that we’ve ever read. In short, a young student claimed that he corrected his chemistry teacher and solved a difficult problem. Then the educator asked him to teach the class about the same topic. But then it went wrong for the young man as somebody exposed his lies online.

DeMilked

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

One of his classmates reacted with natural incredulity and denied that this ever happened. He also told him to stop telling lies because he doesn’t know anything about the subject. It’s weird because this person wanted attention and sought validation on the Internet (via DeMilked).

Fake Text Post

Other weirdos describe alleged incidents that changed their day but these are untrue. One person wrote on Tumblr that they went to Walmart to buy items for their period. Then a teenage staff member turned to them and said that ‘it’s going to be ok.’ However, this was a clear case of lies online and we don’t know why they did it.

Tumblr

Another person immediately replied with a sarcastic comment to tarnish their fake text post. We can see the response above as they funnily humiliated the original author. There is something so cringeworthy about telling lies online and we fail to understand the attraction of doing so (via Reddit).

No Thermal Check

It’s wise to do research before making bogus claims on the Internet as one Indian man discovered. He traveled through an airport in his native country before condemning them online. That’s because he took issues with their security checks and claimed that they had no thermal check during the global health crisis.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Then the airport’s official account responded to his false information and immediately disproved them. They revealed the exact time that he traveled through the airport and also attached CCTV footage of his thermal scan. It’s safe to say that the airport won this round because they exposed his online lies via Reddit).

Beach Days

These days many people appear to live two lives because social media affects their actions. The following Snapchat exchange is a fine example. We can see a young man lying on a towel on the sand with a blissful expression on his face. He wrote the caption, “Beach days,” as he enjoys his time in the sun.

Snapchat

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Then another person shared a picture of the same man lying in a field. They asked “What is he doing?” because it’s weird that somebody would go to this extent to make people think that they’re living a great life. What’s wrong with being in a field anyway (via Shareably)?

Is She Homeless?

One of the most important points to remember when telling lies online is to make sure there are no dubious details. One Twitter user sought validation because she has no money. There’s nothing wrong with that but she claimed that she fell asleep in her car and a little girl asked if she is homeless.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

However, another person noted that she wouldn’t know what she said if she was asleep. Furthermore, it’s hard to believe she could have heard this clearly through the car doors. Nonetheless, she wanted the rush that Internet validation creates and went for it (via Reddit).

Baked Phone

Never underestimate other people’s willingness to call out lies online. Somebody tweeted that they accidentally baked their phone into their cake and shared a photo of the incident. Yes, they attached evidence but a quick Google search shows that this wasn’t genuine.

Imgur

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

That’s because they took a screenshot from a YouTube video where somebody did a dumb experiment. Another Twitter user shared the video in the replies and destroyed the original poster’s story. They should delete their account after this type of garbage story because it’s all over for them (via Imgur).

Snowden Says No

Some businesses and Internet users mention celebrities in their tweets and online stories because they want the added prestige. They also think that famous people are too busy to trawl through their mentions. But sometimes they do and their words come back to haunt them.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

One VPN business claimed that Edward Snowden endorsed their product and used this to advertise their product. But then the man himself replied and emphatically denied this. He also said that it was impossible because he never promoted any VPNs. Imagine the discussions in that boardroom after he ruined their business (via Reddit).

Amazing Sunset

It can be very easy to disprove somebody’s lies online. This individual shared an alleged photo of their dog frolicking during a sunset in Arizona. That seems lovely and untoward but there’s a major issue with their story. A quick Google search produced the same image.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

As another Redditor noted, this was an Adobe stock photo and not an image of their pet. We’ve no idea why they thought that somebody would believe them but they didn’t care. They should have known that if it was easy for them to find this photo it would be simple for others too (via Reddit).

Accidental Photo

Candid photos often produce the best images because we’re not self-conscious about the camera. Sometimes people even accidentally take shots of themselves when they mistakenly hit the button. But that’s not the case in the image below as another person observed.

Pinterest

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

The post said that the best pictures she takes are by accident. But somebody else called out her lies online because of her pose and the fact that she’s looking at the camera. Meanwhile, she must have reached out to take the photo. She didn’t fool anybody with her ridiculous claim (via Pinterest).

Deep Inhale

Many people try to lose weight but struggle to achieve their goals. They’re justifiably proud when they manage to shed some pounds and want to share it with the world. This is a time when Internet validation can be a good thing because it motivates them to continue. But don’t lie on social media because it will end badly.

Pinterest

This lady claimed that she lost 14 lbs. and shared a pair of photos beside each other. But one friend asked her if she was sucking her cheeks in to look thinner. Perhaps it’s a coincidence that she’s wearing the same clothes in the same place but she wouldn’t tell lies online, right (via Pinterest)?

Cop Fight

There are always people who try to appear to be tough online. Some internet users discussed a video where a police officer acted violently toward a teenager. Then one person replied and said that they violently disposed of a law enforcement officer after he tried the same thing on him.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Another Twitter user said what everybody else was thinking and denied his lies online. He did so in a humorous manner that conveyed his disbelief. Everybody can be tough online but this doesn’t mean that they’re able to act this way in real life. This thread is a great example of this type of nonsense (via Reddit).

Thanks, Harry

Allegedly, Harry Styles is a very nice person and always gives his fans a lot of time. But it’s also stupid to write about him on Twitter and compose a bogus story. Yet, that’s exactly what one person did as they claimed that he gave them money at the Detroit Tigers to buy him two beers.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Then they claimed that they took a hundred bucks and left. But they didn’t expect Styles to reply and expose his lies online in front of millions of followers. He immediately explained that he didn’t go to the Tigers game as he made a fool out of this liar. It’s safe to say that he won’t make this mistake again (via Reddit).

No Physical Locations

Some people enjoy leaving horrible reviews about different businesses. This is terrible because it may negatively influence other shoppers and patrons. It can prove to be incredibly costly for these establishments but sometimes these bogus reviewers make a mistake.

Abtu

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

One reviewer criticized a store’s employees because they didn’t wear masks. But there was one significant issue with their bold claims. The business’s account replied and said that they don’t have any physical locations. Sometimes it’s easy to expose lies online because people are morons (via Aubtu).

Going Hiking

One of the most important points to remember about life is that one’s siblings will always humiliate them. This young woman discovered this the hard way after she left a post on Instagram. She chose a cute outfit and then posed after she went hiking. However, her younger brother revealed the reality of the situation.

Twitter

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

She claimed that Nature is the ultimate healer but her brother showed the other side of the photo. The older sister didn’t go hiking at all but made her boyfriend take a picture in her garden. It’s amazing the effort that people will go to as they hunt for likes. This time it didn’t end well for her (via Twitter).

Snapchat Filter

When people tell lies online they’re assuming that everybody is stupid and gullible enough to believe them. But that’s not always the case as this person discovered on Reddit. They shared a picture of their anime art because they wanted to impress the world and receive validation.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

But the problem was that they told a bunch of lies and somebody spotted it. They noted that he used a Snapchat filter and took a screenshot. This instantly revealed that the original poster was a liar. We don’t know why he felt the need to spin these lies in the first place (via Reddit).

Inconsiderate Youths

This person tried to exploit the world’s love of outrage as she called out some youths occupying disabled seats. The problem with this is that she hasn’t looked around her properly. Her criticism even bemused some of her fellow Twitter users because it didn’t make sense at all.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

She said that they should have allowed an elderly woman to sit down. But her fellow social media peeps noticed that there was still an empty seat behind her. She may not have deliberately told online lies but she made a fool of herself in front of the world. Some people should take a deep breath before spreading outrage (via Reddit).

Wendy’s Tattoo

Imagine if a fast food chain trolled somebody online. This happened in real life after somebody falsely claimed that they got a Wendy’s tattoo. Firstly, we don’t know why they thought that this would make the business happy. It’s a weird thing to do at the best of times, even if it was real.

Twitter

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

The official Wendy’s account saw this stupid callout and immediately replied. They sarcastically trolled the moron because it was the same image as the first Google result for Wendy’s tattoo. It’s safe to say that they didn’t put a lot of work into their effort to trick the chain (via Twitter).

Stuck In Traffic

Nobody likes being stuck in traffic as this person showed on Twitter. However, at least he had time to take a selfie and share a picture with his followers. It gave him an excuse to put their face on social media as he hunted likes as though they were an endangered species.

Twitter

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

But he forgot that he was wearing reflective sunglasses and these gave away his location. It emerged that he was telling lies online because the sunglasses betrayed him. The mirror effect showed that he wasn’t in traffic at all but was driving dangerously. Many of his fellow Twitter users agreed that this man is a desperate moron.

Stay in School

Sometimes the Internet is a cruel place but occasionally this ruthlessness is wonderful. The picture below is a fine example because this young man made an idiot of himself online. Other Facebook users happily destroyed him and proved that he was a liar or possibly just a moron.

Imgur

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

He wrote that the sun was in his eyes as he stood in a dramatic pose. But this defied basic physics because if the sun was in his eyes his shadow would be behind him. Instead, it was in front of him and contradicted his claim. As one person noted, he should have stayed in school (via Imgur).

Lost Art

Everybody dreams of finding a lost famous painting in a thrift store or a Ming vase in their basement. That’s because these items have a value of millions of dollars but sadly it’s unlikely to happen. However, this person said that they accidentally bought a Joan Miro painting for a fraction of its cost.

Reddit

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Unfortunately, somebody who knew about art recognized the artwork and knew that it was in the Guggenheim. Imagine the expression on the original poster’s face when they realized that everybody knew the truth about them. It was a dumb thing for them to do in the first place (via Reddit).

Grandma and I

If there’s one truth in this life it’s that online stupidity doesn’t have any boundaries. This person proved that as they posted a pair of photos side by side. They claimed that the one on the left was their grandmother while the other was a photo of themselves. Somebody commented and questioned who they thought they were fooling.

me.me

ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

This is one of the stupidest things that we’ve ever seen. Perhaps they thought that they were being funny or ironic by posting the two color palettes next to each other. But if they were serious then they should never go online again. There’s no overstating how ludicrous this post was (via me.me).

Three Years Old

Most three-year-olds only care about their next playdate or candy. But according to this woman, her child is smarter than her. After reading this tweet we believe her because it’s complete garbage. She made up a complicated and seemingly profound quote that her son said about dying.

Twitter

One person immediately and emphatically called her out. What delights us most about this is that they appear to be completely done with her nonsense. They’ve no time for it and they make it abundantly clear. We appreciate this approach to calling out online lies (via Twitter).

Very Rude

Some parents don’t take responsibility for their children and blame everybody else for their behavior. They react badly when businesses ask them to control their offspring and to respect other patrons. One person left an angry review after a restaurant and other customers behaved rudely toward them.

Reddit

At least, that’s what they claimed. The truth appears to be different because the restaurant owner replied to the review. They explained the situation to readers and said that their child went crazy inside. He also offered to show video footage of the incident to prove that they were telling the truth (via Reddit).

Finally, we’re all feeling heard and realize we’re not the only ones afraid of death. This internet user said, “I am terrified of death. Not the event, but the concept. All learnings, memories, experience — it all just ends. You can’t take it with you. I can’t fathom that one day it just ends.” Even though that’s a grim way to put it, it’s true. This person said, ” I am not coping as well as it seems. These past few years have been hard. I don’t like people to worry so I keep a lot to myself. I “just keep swimming”lol.” Even though it’s heartbreaking to read, it makes those of us in the same boat not feel as alone (via Reddit).

Nowadays, we can talk to anyone we want in a matter of seconds. Sometimes, we may feel overwhelmed by the number of messages we receive, or we may feel that no one texts us at all. On the days we don’t receive any messages, we may feel lonely or unloved. This person shared one of their deepest thoughts out loud when they said, “I wish literally anybody would ever message me first. Feels like I always have to be the one to reach out to my friends. Not sure if it’s just them not wanting to bother me if I’m busy or they just really don’t care if they talk to me or not.”

This person said, “I love having friends but I hate socializing with people. Even texting and keeping in contact feel draining, but it doesn’t mean that my heart isn’t filled with love for my friends and family. I wish people understood how much I love them even though I’m so bad at communicating.”

This sounds like an introvert. It’s okay to want to spend time alone. Many people share these same thoughts but never talk about them out loud. For some, a successful life equals happiness, and we spend our whole lives searching for that happiness. But the definition of success is not the same for everyone. Society puts pressure on people to be successful, earn a lot of money, and get married. But that’s not everyone’s definition of success.

This person shared one of their deepest thoughts out loud. They said, “despite being ‘successful’ at life in the eyes of friends and family by having a career and being able to live on my own, I don’t recall the last time I felt happy.” Even though he seems successful in society’s terms, he’s not happy deep inside. We feel sorry for him, but also recognize that many people around the world share the same thoughts. It can be hard to pinpoint what makes us truly happy, but if we’re living our lives based on what we think society says, we may never find happiness (via Buzzfeed).

NFL Confusion

This internet user said, “I understand zero of what NFL commentators are saying. I am American and have been watching football for over 15 years. No idea what a play option or a screen pass is. Nobody in the NFL explains anything. They just assume every viewer has played at the college level or above. The MLB during the World Series is a great example of educating the viewer. I wish the NFL was more instructional.”

Honestly, they’re not the first person to share this confusion out loud with the world. If you don’t understand football, then the NFL is a confusing game with a ton of rules that don’t make any sense (via Reddit).

Fake Scenarios

Our minds are strange. They make up scenarios that have never happened. Sometimes, we even get stuck on these made-up scenarios. They feel so real that we can’t get rid of them. This person shared, “I’ve made fake scenarios in my head where my friends have died and I’m crying and remembering the fun time we had, while they are perfectly healthy.”

It’s a bit disconcerting but also incredibly relatable. How many times have you done this? For some reason, it seems like it’s our brain’s default mode to make up stories and worst-case scenarios. It’s almost like it’s an alternate form of entertainment (via Reddit).

Losing Faith In Humanity

With the way the world is going, it comes as no surprise that many people suffer after watching the state of the world. This person admitted, “I have been actively following politics for the last one or two years. I have completely lost faith in humanity after learning and reading about what has been going on in this world. I have become so pessimistic to the point I go through existential crisis sometimes.”

They’re not the only ones. Many people share the same thoughts and never talk about them out loud. They also said, “I just cannot handle the fact that because of some selfish, materialistic, egoistic, divide-and-conquer-minded powerful person’s decision, millions of people are living in poverty, when they should be getting a chance to learn that there is more to life than just struggling to get by your day.” It’s the harsh reality of the world we live in. The best we can do is try to stay positive and move forward (via Reddit).

This is their harsh truth. At the very least, they could cut that friendship off instead of living in a lie. It’s never a good idea to lead someone on, especially someone who considers you a friend (via Reddit).

Not only did their 30-year relationship end, but they’re unable to talk about it. Instead of sharing those thoughts out loud, they keep them bottled up inside (via Reddit).

Cutting Off Contact

Just because someone is our family member, doesn’t mean they have to be in our lives forever. This person said, “once I get a stable job, move out and get financially stable, I plan on cutting contact with my family. They are just too toxic to deal with. I’m set to inherit a sizable amount of cash in my parent’s will but if I cut contact with them and they decide to cut me out of the will then that’s alright with me at this point.”

This is a deep realization. Not only do they want to cut off contact, but they risk losing their inheritance money. We’re not sure what this person has been through, but it sounds like they had a rough upbringing. Let’s hope they find some peace with their family and can move on. They’re not the first person to experience this, either, and certainly not the last (via Reddit).

Losing a pet is as hard as losing a person. The grieving process is the same and we’re left brokenhearted. It’s especially hard if you grew up with a dog. This person shared one of their thoughts out loud when they said, “I still cry over my childhood dog. He was my best and an only friend up until I was around 12. Working Forever

This person shares one of their inner thoughts about being a former achiever.

They said, “I am a former overachiever who has amounted to nothing. The hopes and pressure from those around me made it harder to realize that being good in school doesn’t mean you are smart, and if not for them I might have set my sights lower and succeeded at something.” It’s unfortunate that they’re figuring this out too late and happened this way.
