“The beach had too many fat people. It was gross,” they wrote. We can only assume that they went to Fort Lauderdale or somewhere of that ilk. It’s wild that they felt that they needed to tell the world about their experience. But there are some truly mean people out there.

Happy Hour

It’s often the case that tap water doesn’t taste good in resorts or hotels. That’s why most of them provide a couple of free bottles of water. They’ll also advise temporary residents to buy bottles from a convenience store. But another tourist decided to quench their thirst with long drinks instead (via Hill Top Travel).

However, this became a complaint because their vacation devolved into a hazy blur. They wrote: “The water tasted funny so I had to drink cocktails all week. Now I can’t remember half my holiday.” Surely, there was another solution other than drinking solely alcohol all week such as drinking orange juice or coconut water?

Sometimes maids and cleaners go beyond the call of duty. They could easily lay a towel on a bed or hang them in the bathroom. But they may take it a step further and shape them into swans or even a rose. Normally people appreciate this small touch but one visitor had a visceral reaction.

“The maid who cleaned our room made our towel into a swan shape,” she wrote in a negative review. “I don’t like swans.” The reality is that the cleaner had no idea that some crazy person had a weird and very specific dislike of swans. Some people have no qualms about going to a nudist beach and taking off all of their clothes. The reality is that it takes a lot of confidence and they will receive some judgment too. One British traveler complained that some women sunbathed topless on the Algarve (via Somerset Live).

“Topless sunbathing on the beach should be banned,” she wrote. “The holiday was ruined as my husband spent all day looking at other women.” This says a lot about the state of their marriage because the husband had a wandering eye. It was also inappropriate for him to stare at women in this manner.

It’s safe to say that most people reading this article don’t know that egg slicers exist. Neither did we until we came across this ridiculous review. Somebody went on vacation and rented a holiday bungalow with a fully-equipped kitchen. But then they experienced a horror that tainted their entire experience.

Street traders struggle to make a living like the rest of us. They typically sell knock-off products like handbags, purses, and sunglasses for a cheap price. These sellers often watch the police because they’re operating without a license and dealing in counterfeit goods (via Europe For Visitors).

This didn’t stop somebody from complaining that they mistakenly bought fake sunglasses for a cheap price. It’s highly unlikely that the travel agency did a secret background check and uncovered the truth about these people. It stands to reason that a suite with multiple bedrooms would be bigger than one with just a single bedroom. However, one traveler didn’t receive this memo and felt incredibly jealous about their friend’s accommodation. They stayed in the same resort but with different-sized rooms.
