It’s not fun losing a bet. But it says a lot about someone’s character if they lose with dignity and pride. It also says a lot if they lose and then act like the victim, which is exactly what this boss did. Horrible bosses that are also sore losers need to leave the workplace and find another job that doesn’t involve running an entire team of adults.

When this boss lost a bet, they decided to pay their employee in pennies. At least this person can easily take these tubes to the bank, but it’s still annoying. It’s not even funny, and it’s probably the last bet they ever made with them (via Food Is In The House).

Not Worth It

This one is a mouthful! It sounds like this company has a lot they need to work on regarding organization and meeting their targets. Everyone on the team is struggling, and for some reason, the rules were not made clear.

This person decided they didn’t want to waste any more time with the job and sent a long message explaining the situation before quitting. They even went so far as to mention that HR is a mess, which is why they’ve resorted to a text message for quitting. We’d probably do the same. Six Hours Prior

Asking someone to come into work at nine in the morning, the night before, at three in the morning, is ridiculous. Did they expect their employee to be awake? Also, why is that boss up so late? Maybe they’re stressed out and were trying to work on the schedule. Either way, horrible bosses that expect their employees to come to work at short notice need to find another job.

If your employee suddenly disappeared from work, what’s the first thing you’d do? Hire another person. Life is short, and time is money. Bosses, even the horrible bosses, don’t have enough time on their hands to wait around for irresponsible employees. But that’s not what happened here.

Someone who’s grieving deserves sympathy and compassion, especially from their workplace. It’s horrific that this boss complained about their employee who called out because of their uncle who passed away. They have every right to call out and take time for themselves and to be with their family.

Kudos to this bartender who stuck up for herself and put her foot down. It’s unbelievable that this boss assumed she would come in on her day off, just because Becky canceled. Why is she making it her problem? It should be Becky’s problem.

Also, it shouldn’t even be legal that that boss was threatening her employee with revoking her health insurance. That’s dangerous and incredibly absurd. What if something happened to her? When we apply for a job, it’s usually because we need cash. We don’t have enough funds to dish out hundreds of dollars on a uniform before we start our job. When horrible bosses expect us to have pockets full of cash, it’s unrealistic.

We’ve seen plenty of horrible bosses asking their employees to come to work last minute, but now we’re seeing a boss asking their employees not to come to work at the last minute. It’s so last minute that they had already taken the bus to work.

Prioritize School

Working while studying is tough. You’re working two full-time jobs. Keeping up with grades and trying to pay for school at the same time isn’t easy, so props to this student for doing just that. They also sent an endearing message to their boss, who didn’t feel any compassion or sympathy for their employee. To them, working at Panera is more important than studying and getting a degree, which doesn’t make any sense.

Every Hour

Could you imagine having the flu and having to answer your boss every single hour while suffering from a high fever? It’s horrific! When you have the flu, you’re usually passing in and out of sleep, slightly delusional from the fever, and too sick to even eat. Of course, you’re not well enough to go to work.

Pepper Packets

What an awful job. Horrible bosses that make their employees do the most tedious, boring tasks need to be fired. After accidentally ordering hundreds of tiny pepper packets instead of a large bag of pepper, this boss made their employee sit there and cut open each packet, one by one, and pour it into a container.

It looks like this person is going to sit there for a while. It’s a hilarious picture, to say the least, but one of the most tedious tasks in the world. Medical Emergency

Not showing up to work is a big problem, especially in a busy workplace. But an even bigger problem is someone who almost died from an allergic reaction and ended up in the hospital. That’s no laughing matter. Horrible bosses never seem to understand how dangerous medical emergencies can be, and how quickly things can go south. Know Your Rights

Turning your work phone off outside of working hours makes a lot of sense. It’s expected, considering you’re off the clock once you clock out. Something is wrong if an employee expects you to have your phone on during working hours.

Expired Tacos

This horrible boss needs to be reported to the health department as soon as possible. It’s incredibly dangerous to serve expired food to customers. There’s an array of health problems that can come with serving expired food.

Someone could technically sue them if they found out. We can’t believe he’s telling his employee off for following the food guidelines and keeping their customers safe. Do their bosses answer?
