Arrogant People Who Got Put In Their Place & Proved There’s Still Justice In The World

Monica August 23, 2022

Very few people if any want to deal with arrogant people. Not only do they cause drama, but their egos are so big that it’s always their way or the highway. A lot of the time, we are forced to accept them as they are and try not to slap them in the face. The only thing we can do is leave their fate in karma’s hands and wait for life fails to get them back.

Luckily, there are incidences where arrogant people were put in their place after making a huge scene out of nothing. Karma taught a lot of them an immediate lesson. These people certainly got what they deserved, in the form of losing a competition, damaging their car, or losing money. We can only hope they learned from their mistakes, even though it was the hard way. Sometimes, that’s the only way to get a point across, so check out these incredibly arrogant people who got put in their place right here.

Constative

His Mom Won

People in the Army go through days, weeks, and months of training that rips them to shreds. We can only imagine the sort of experiences they have to go through. That being said, many army vets still go on to become arrogant people. In a way, they deserve to be because they had to deal with a lot. Sometimes, though, they’re put in their place and are shown that normal people can also succeed just as much as they can.

Shutterstock

This soldier’s mom beat him at a shooting range at a carnival. Honestly, he might’ve beat his mom in the field, but the fact she beat him at a carnival says a lot. We’d have loved to see his reaction when he realized she roasted him. At least it’s a friendly mother-son match that leaves room for bonding (via Constative).

Constative

Not As Good As You Think

The Matura takes place in European and German-speaking countries and is simply a secondary school exam. To graduate from high school, many students must take this test. Just because you’re a high schooler, doesn’t mean you’re immune to arrogance, this girl being one of them.

Shutterstock

After bragging about her near-perfect score, and mentioning that no one ever gets a perfect score, she was quickly put in her place. This student scored 100%, while many other students were in the 85% range. The look on her face when she realized someone beat her school must’ve been priceless (via Constative).

Reddit

Flashing Lights

Some of the most arrogant people on the planet are also arrogant drivers. For some reason, they think that everyone around them should move to the side of the road so they could pass. They’re usually the types of people that tailgate, honk their horns, and nearly cause an accident. They also raise their blood pressure to impossibly high levels from all the times they scream at others on the road.

Shutterstock

This Reddit user shared their experience with an arrogant driver, who tailgated them in a construction zone. After illegally passing him, the driver was pulled over by the cops. They said, “those flashing lights were a beautiful sight.” Indeed, they probably were. That’s the kind of karma we all hope for with aggressive drivers (via Reddit).

Constative

Bumpkin

If you need to brag that you’re the smartest guy in the room, chances are, you’re not. You’re probably insecure and afraid. This guy stormed into a bar and bragged he was smarter than all the local ‘Bumpkins.’ He quickly realized that he was the Bumpkin when he lost and didn’t even score in the top 10.

Shutterstock

To make matters worse, and to make himself feel better, he complained that he lost to “a gang of old retired f*ck ups that have nothing better to do.” That sounds awfully like a projection. This guy needs to get a new hobby and pick up a book or two. Getting so worked up over a university pub quiz just isn’t worth it (via Constative).

Reddit

Hit In The Face

Stealing something from someone weaker and smaller than you isn’t kind at all. It’s usually caused by insecurity and lack of empathy. It’s especially common in elementary and high school when bullies are on the loose. If you’re that mean when you’re younger, chances are, you’ll turn into one of those arrogant people who pick on weaker individuals.

This arrogant elementary school student, who thought he was better than a little girl, stole a ball from her, chucked it in the opposite direction, and then got smacked in the face when it bounced right back. Let’s hope he learned his lesson from this instant karma and never did anything like that again (via Reddit).

Constative

Feeling Bad

It’s horrible when kids have to pay for things their parents do. You don’t choose the family you’re born into, let alone the types of jobs your parents have. Growing up, this kid flaunted his family’s money. Even though he was one of those arrogant people who bragged about his wealth, we can cut him some slack since he was young and didn’t know any better.

Shutterstock

Unfortunately, he quickly learned that his dad was embezzling money illegally and that this wealth wasn’t well-deserved. His dad ended up in jail, which humbled him. We can feel sorry for him because none of that ended well (via Constative).

Constative

S Mode

We’ve all been in S mode and have had to deal with at least one S in our lives. They seem to come out of nowhere, and love making us feel bad about ourselves in the hopes they will gain some sort of power over us. Usually, they don’t succeed and end up making a fool of themselves. These are the types of arrogant people we want to stay away from.

Shutterstock

This person shares their story, about a time they were flat out told they would lose in a race. After starting the race, they quickly realized they were not only winning, but so far ahead that they couldn’t even see their competition. Their team ended up coming in second, and the arrogant person’s team came in 5th or 6th. That just goes to show you that arrogance is not the way, and you usually just end up making a fool of yourself in the end (via Constative).

Constative

You Go Girl

It seems like it’s common for men to look down on women and try to make themselves feel better by belittling them. A lot of the time, the men end up making a fool of themselves when the woman shows her true inner strength and gives women around the world a good name. This woman in particular dealt with one of those arrogant people who think they’re better just because they’re a man.

Shutterstock

Well, he messed with the wrong woman. She was so skilled in martial arts that she beat him to a pulp. This woman showed her true dominance and dojo by swinging her sword at lightning speed. She was so quick, that he didn’t even have time to react. Way to go, girl (via Constative).

Constative

Heard About Them

When your partner downright makes fun of your sex life in front of people, it’s probably because you deserved it. Arrogant people always get what’s coming to them, just like this guy. After bragging about how he’s the best, he was put to the test. And not in a good way – in a very embarrassing way, actually.

Shutterstock

When someone mentioned they’ve heard about hot Italian lovers, his wife said she’s heard about them too, implying that his love-making skills were horrendous. He has a lot of learning to do if it’s not too late. It sounds like one way of breaking up with someone. At the very least, his ego was taken down a few notches (via Constative).

Constative

Braggart Fail

This guy thought it was going to be a seamless, epic win. He became one of those arrogant people that think it’s a good idea to brag to everyone about how powerful and likable they are. Usually, when you have to tell people you’re the best person in the world, it usually means you’re not.

Shutterstock

People who know they’re the best don’t have to say it. Ironically, this guy got less than 10 votes out of more than 1,000. This just goes to show you that you need to keep your mouth shut. Hopefully, this lesson broke down his ego and taught him a thing or two about what it takes to be a person people like. He’s doing something wrong (via Constative).

Reddit

Instant Karma

Arrogant people who think it’s okay to damage someone else’s property and then lie about it deserve to be punished. This neighbor damaged this person’s car but didn’t have enough courage to stand up for his mistake and do something about it. Because they couldn’t prove it was him, they were left helpless.

Shutterstock

But karma doesn’t let people get away that easily. One week later, he rammed the car straight into his garage after mistaking the gas pedal for a brake. Juvenile mistake. That’s what you get for lying and being dishonest (via Reddit).

Reddit

Cart Revenge

Shopping carts are no joke. It’s almost as if they have a mind of their own. This arrogant woman was quickly put in her place after she acted like she didn’t have to bring her cart back to the shop. It’s like she thinks she’s above those respectful people who make those cart collectors’ jobs easier.

Shutterstock

Instead of returning her cart, which helped her carry her groceries, she pushed the cart into a parking lot without any regard for anyone except herself. Just then, the wind blew and the cart rammed straight into her car. She deserved every single bit of that. That would’ve been a sight to see. Arrogant people deserve more punishment like this (via Reddit).

Reddit

People Cheered

When someone cuts the line, it’s rude. Extremely rude. Especially when there are people who patiently waited their turn. Arrogant people always think they’re above everyone else. Why do those line cutters always seem to get away with it? Well, it turns out they don’t. Someone decided to cut a line of cars waiting to board a packed ferry.

Wikipedia

When the workers kindly asked them to leave, they turned around in an angry outrage, as if they thought they didn’t deserve to be told to turn around. As they left, they turned their car over and into a ditch. Hilariously enough, people around cheered at the outcome. As bad as it sounds, he deserved it (via Reddit).

Constative

Dislocated Shoulder

When anyone gets defeated by someone younger than them, it’s embarrassing. It’s even more embarrassing when it comes immediately after you were acting like one of those arrogant people who were full of themselves. This martial arts guy got it handed to him when he bragged in front of a group of high school students.

Shutterstock

To make matters worse, he asked an audience member to come down and try and break him out of his arm hold. In a matter of minutes, the top male gymnast came down and not only broke him out of his hold but dislocated his shoulder in the process. He certainly taught this martial arts guy who was boss (via Constative).

Constative

Having A Baby

According to this person, there’s no such thing as being ready for a baby. Even if you’re one of the most mentally and financially stable people in the world, nothing will take you down like having a kid. And just when you think you’ve got the hang of it as most arrogant people do, the baby will begin crying or teething, or somehow change the game all over again.

Shutterstock

It’s one way to take your confidence down a few notches. That’s why most people wait before having kids, or never even have kids in the first place (via Constative).

Reddit

Sh*tted On

That’s one way of sticking it to them! Telling your ex that you “hope they get sh*tted on” certainly expresses and encapsulates every type of emotion out there. To be honest, we’ve all embodied an arrogant person that has said that once or twice. Perhaps even more. Usually, we immediately apologize, but not all the time.

New York Post

This person didn’t apologize, but karma made sure he would. After hanging up the phone, a flock of geese flew over him and sh*t into his lap. He got what he deserved (via Reddit).

Reddit

Faking Sick

Playing hooky from school or work feels invigorating. We’re doing something we’re not supposed to do. Even though it’s a lot of fun, it’s not fair to our coworkers who have to take on our responsibility. This Reddit user shares their experience with their boss, who decided to take a “sick” day from work and enjoy his long weekend.

Shutterstock

Well, just because he’s a boss doesn’t make him better than everyone else. He’s one of those arrogant people that got what’s handed to him. He ended up getting sick and having to miss even more work. His coworkers must’ve been pretty thrilled at the outcome (via Reddit).

Constative

Mommy Is The Best

To this child, there is only one parent, and that’s mommy. We feel sorry for that dad, who probably does half the work. Technically, the mom did do all the work and carried the child in her womb for nine months.

Shutterstock

The mother probably takes care of her the most, which is why she refers to her mom more than her dad and made this dire mistake. Her dad just might be one of those arrogant people who are never home but expects the baby to know who they are. Maybe he needs to change up his work schedule and be more of a presence in the baby’s life (via Constative).

Constative

I’m A Lawyer

We get it. If you spend the majority of your life in school and working in an office, you want some credit for your hard work. But running around and bragging about your job isn’t going to get you the type of attention you’re looking for. It usually backfires, especially if you’re acting like one of those arrogant people who think the world owes them something.

Pexels

Unfortunately for this guy, he embarrassed himself in front of a dean of a law school and Justice Scalia’s granddaughter. Even if you are a hotshot lawyer, that doesn’t mean you can treat people as lower than you. Hopefully, he learned his lesson after this encounter. The look on his face after getting introduced to those two women must’ve been priceless (via Constative).

Reddit

Not Guacamole

When arrogant people just grab another person’s food, it’s rude. In this case, however, it turned out that stealing someone’s food without checking what it actually was forced them to pay a great price.

Shutterstock

Karma had other plans for him, and quickly put him in his place. He ended up spitting up a glob of wasabi that he thought was guacamole, which couldn’t have been close to a pleasant experience (via Reddit).

Constative

Not Plugged In

Usually, the simplest solution is the one that works the best. We’re so used to solving problems with complex solutions, that we forget about the tiniest details, like plugging something into a wall. This guy was one of those arrogant people who deserved to be put in his place.

After waltzing into the room and bragging about how he’s the smartest guy ever, he learned a valuable lesson. When he couldn’t figure out how to turn the monitors on, he said “if I can’t figure it out, no one else will.” Well, this guy had a clever response and said, “I thought monitors had to be plugged in.” That’s one of the best responses he could’ve said. It’s not argumentative and is straightforward. There’s no way he could argue against that, ever (via Reddit).

Reddit

Not Rich Enough

Some women expect their partners to support every desire of theirs. While it was certainly like that several decades ago, it’s not like that anymore. Many women are supporting themselves and are even making more money than their male counterparts. This girl had her karma handed to her after she broke up with her partner for not being rich enough.

Money.com

One year later, she was broke and pregnant from a one-night stand, while he won $2 million in the lottery. That’s one way of getting payback. He must’ve been relieved she broke up with him because that’s not someone you want to date. In the end, it was a win-win situation for him (via Reddit).

Reddit

$99 Profit

Doing the right thing is expected. If you see someone drop something, the right thing to do would be to pick it up and give it to them, not secretly take it for yourself. After customer #2 saw customer #1 drop a $1 bill, he picked it up and took it for himself. Karma didn’t wait very long to get him back, though.

Shutterstock

Customer #2 then dropped a $100 bill and didn’t notice, but customer #1 did. He grabbed the $100, his slice of pizza, and walked away with a $99 profit. What a fantastic way to end the night (via Reddit).

Constative

Uneducated Rubes

Some people think that because they have a degree, it makes them better than everyone else around them. It’s wrong on so many levels. Just because you have a Ph.D., doesn’t mean you can treat everyone else around you as less than you.

Shutterstock

This man took it a bit too far with his communications degree and insisted that everyone around him call him a doctor. He chose the wrong place to incorrectly label himself, because the neurosurgeons, radiologists, and dentists around him started calling each other doctors, too. That shut him up. If he had a tail, it’d be in between his legs. Even though he learned the hard way, at least he learned something (via Constative).

Constative

Apology Accepted

Let’s just hope this guy was having a bad day because there’s no reason to cuss and yell at someone who didn’t do anything to you. This guy delivering tanks was supposed to be professional, but instead showed up and yelled at the store clerk. Little did he know that the person he was yelling at was the store owner and the person who hired him for the job.

Shutterstock

His dad ended up calling to apologize, and then the guy had to return to the store to apologize. He seems like one of those arrogant people who allow his emotions to get in the way. He has a lot to learn. Let’s hope this was the first and last time this ever happened (via Constative).

Reddit

Slipped In The Rain

Laughing at someone who slips is plain rude. It’s even worse if that person ends up getting hurt. At the very least, keep it a secret, and don’t let them hear or see you. This person laughed at someone slipping in the rain and then proceeded to slip in the rain immediately afterward.

Shutterstock

It seems like arrogant people always get what they deserved. Let’s hope the first person who slipped in the rain was able to laugh at them. It’s called payback (via Reddit).

Constative

Broken Wrist

Again, we’re seeing instant karma. Even though breaking your wrist isn’t fun, it seems like he deserved it. He made fun of a girl and then proceeded to break his wrist immediately after. We’re not sure how many years have passed since that incident, but it’s clear that he still remembers it.

Shutterstock

He certainly learned his lesson, because it seems like it still haunts him to this day. At least it seems like he never did anything like that ever again. It’s one way to learn something, even though it’s not the easiest way (via Constative).

Constative

Punch To The Face

Even though punching someone in the face isn’t the best way to solve a problem, it certainly worked this time. After this bully walked around the school making fun of everyone, he suddenly messed with the wrong person. For some reason, he resorted to calling this girl’s mom a slew of insults. Instead of ignoring it, she turned around and punched him straight in the nose, breaking it. It sounds painful, but he deserved it.

MSNBC

But the worst part is that his home life affected him so much, which is why he resorted to bullying. The story ends well, though, in that the two of them become friends and he opens up to her. It seems like they both have issues, though, considering one of them resorted to bullying to feel better, while the other resorted to aggression and violence (via Constative).

Constative

Wrestling Is Tough

There are some sports out there that’ll put you in your place. Wrestling is one of them. Without a doubt, arrogant people in this sport get what’s coming to them. If you walk around acting like a hotshot, there’s someone out there who will make sure you stop doing that. Usually, the best people are the ones that don’t feel the need to brag about their strengths.

Shutterstock

Unfortunately, there’s always someone better than you. The least you can do is try your best and not worry about the outcome. If you try your best, you’ve already won, even if it seems like wrestlers don’t necessarily think like that (via Constative).

Constative

New Boyfriend

It’s tough being around your ex, especially if the breakup was rough and didn’t end well. It’s a lot better when it ends amicably, but that’s not usually the case. Breakups also tend to turn someone into one of those arrogant people who feel like they need to prove something to their ex. Maybe it’s a way of coping or trying to show them what they’re missing. This is especially true if you’re the one who was broken up with.

Shutterstock

This guy felt that he needed to show off to his ex and her new boyfriend but instead ended up humiliating himself. He crashed his car into a pole after trying to show it off. The embarrassment is cringe-worthy (via Constative).

Constative

Not Even Close

Why do some people feel compelled to tell their classmates that they’re the best students in the world? It doesn’t make any sense. No one cares if you’re going to score a 100. The only time they care is if you’re acting like one of those arrogant people who brag about their score.

Shutterstock

This person pranced around and made everyone feel bad about the test, just so she could make herself feel better. She quickly learned her lesson when she got nearly half the score she said she would get. She pretty much failed in an epic way. Even though that’s sad, she deserved every bit of it. She cares too much about grades and needs to learn how to care less and stop putting people down (via Constative).

Constative

Big City Girl

Surprising our professors, who tended to be arrogant people, was one of the greatest accomplishments as a student. This was especially true when it was with something they thought we could never achieve, which is surprisingly the exact opposite of what a professor is supposed to do.

Culture Trip

They’re supposed to encourage us, not discourage us. This girl showed her professor who’s boss after taking a unique class about Swine Management. Most of us have never heard of it, but apparently, it’s a thing. This petite woman showed her professor, and all of the other barn men, just how strong she was. After that class, they probably never thought of petite women the same way again (via Constative).

Reddit

Shattered iPad

Professors seem to take their anger out on innocent students. There’s no reason for it other than the fact that they’re a-holes. We’ve all had that one professor who just screamed at us, and then proceeded with the class as if nothing had happened. It’s wrong on so many levels. A lot of the time, they’re just allowed to yell at us and face zero repercussions.

Shutterstock

This Reddit user shared their story about their professor, who was one of those arrogant people that finally got slapped in the face by reality. After screaming at her class, she picked up her folder. Her iPad fell out and shattered when it hit the floor. Next time, maybe she’ll learn not to scream at her students (via Reddit).

Reddit

Just Wait

Bus drivers can be some of the most arrogant people in the world. Not only do they never wait for their customers, but they drive chaotically and quickly. A lot of the time, it feels like you’re trying to hold on for dear life, especially when the bus is full.

Shutterstock

This Reddit user shared their experience about a bus driver not waiting for them when they were only ten meters from the stop. The bus pulled away, and then a few seconds later, a DUI car crashed into the bus. That’s some instant karma. He probably wishes he waited now (via Reddit).

Constative

Take Him Down A Notch

Actors seem to believe they’re above the rest of us normal folk. Just because they’re famous, doesn’t mean they get to skip the lines at restaurants. Except they do, and it happens often. This hostess took David Copperfield down a notch when she told him to make a table appear.

Shutterstock

Even though she didn’t know it was him at first, she still put him in his place. He had to wait 90 minutes just like the rest of us. Also, whether you’re famous or not, you’re still a human being and the same rules apply to you, whether you like it or not (via Constative).

Constative

Game Changer

High school is tough enough as it is. When people bully you, it makes it even harder. We hope those bullies end up paying for what they did in high school. These bullies certainly did. This Internet user took back all of her power at her high school reunion when she had a glow-up.

Shutterstock

Not only did she come back hot and dressed in a little red dress, but the girl that used to make fun of her let her looks go south. Better yet, she completely surprised her so much so, that she fell backward into someone using the toilet. Those arrogant people deserve every bit of payback they receive (via Constative).

Constative

The Match

This daughter never gave her mom the credit she deserves. She worked out for a few weeks and then assumed she’d be stronger than most people around her. That’s not how it works. Building strength and endurance take a lot of time. It doesn’t happen overnight.

Shutterstock

She learned this when she arm wrestled her 54-year-old disabled mother and was instantly defeated. How embarrassing! Good for the mother, though, who was able to prove her strength to her daughter. Hopefully, she turned out to be one of those arrogant people who learned her lesson (via Constative).

Constative

Turned Red

Arrogant people always seem to take their anger out on others who they deem to be weaker. It’s not fair. But when those “weaker” people get their revenge, it feels so good. More than good. This internet user shared about a time their boss cursed her out when the equipment wasn’t working even though it wasn’t her fault.

Shutterstock

Instead of arguing back, she stood up, walked over to the equipment, and plugged it in. That’s all it took. This all happened in front of their clients, too. How embarrassing. Maybe next time he’ll take a deep breath before making sudden assumptions (via Constative).

Constative

Answer To Her

This internet user shares an experience with a vicious woman who thought she didn’t have to give her any attention. This woman treated her as if she were below her. No one ever deserves that kind of treatment.

Shutterstock

But, the woman got a slap in the face when she realized the person she was supposed to be asking questions to was the woman she was ignoring. When she approached the man, who she gave tons of attention to, he told her to direct her questions to this internet user. Now, she has to lean on her for questions. This woman needs to learn to treat everyone the same way (via Constative).

Constative

Soul Crushing Rejection

Hitting on women and bragging about it is forgivable when you’re 16, not as a developed man in his 20s or 30s. This guy needs to relearn manners because he turned into an arrogant person who assumed that every woman wants to go out with him. How wrong he was! At least this woman found a bit of humor in the rejection. He didn’t, though.

Shutterstock

He was mortified and surprised that someone dared to reject him. This just goes to show how much he needs a reality check. He’s not a hot shot every woman is pining over. We’re not sure what kind of women he’s been dating, but it’s certainly not the kind that he assumes want him (via Constative).

Constative

It Was Unplugged

We’re seeing another example of a time when an arrogant person thought the equipment wasn’t working when it was just not plugged in. These people certainly have short tempers, and they need to do something about their anger issues because they’re taking it all out on their employees. Sometimes, the simplest solution is the actual solution. This guy didn’t even think to check and see if his electronics were plugged in, and even got all riled up that it was suggested that he check it.

Shutterstock

At least he was one of those arrogant people that got what he deserved, true and utter embarrassment. Unfortunately, he probably didn’t apologize to his employee, and instead walked away completely embarrassed (via Constative).

Reddit

Nasty Comment

There are some things we keep to ourselves. Mean comments to other people are one of them. The person driving the car shouted, “why don’t you learn how to ride that bike instead of carrying it,” without knowing why the bike was broken in the first place. It’s a pretty mean move. Luckily, he got what he deserved.

Shutterstock

Because he wasn’t paying attention, he ended up rear-ending the car directly in front of him. Next time, he should focus more on the road than on weaker people walking on the sidewalk next to him (via Reddit).

Constative

Never Assume

For some reason, it seems like this guy has nothing better to do except go around and try to tell people about how horrible their dog is. It’s a bad way to pick up women, who don’t want to have anything to do with him. Not only that, but it’s obvious he doesn’t know anything about dogs because if he did, he wouldn’t assume this woman’s dog is a horrible pet.

Pixabay

She told him who’s boss by calmly explaining how well trained her dog is, and that he doesn’t chew up any toys. Maybe his tactics worked with someone else, but they certainly didn’t work with her (via Constative).

Reddit

What A Switch

This Reddit user’s friend thought he was better than his friend after he met a prostitute. He had money, a car, and a woman. That’s better than keeping a good friend around.

Shutterstock

He was one of those arrogant people who deserved to learn his lesson the hard way, and that’s exactly what happened. Without fail, the guy eventually lost his job, and his money, and was planning to marry the prostitute. He also fell into a horrible drug trap. None of that sounds pleasant, and it seems like it’s a good thing this guy lost his friend because he doesn’t seem like someone to keep around (via Reddit).

Constative

Astronaughties

Those “Astronaughties” are not people you want to mess with. Not only are they extremely intelligent, but they’ll easily beat you at a game of trivia. The point of trivia is to relax and hang out with friends, not get all riled up about losing.

NASA

This guy who’s cursing doesn’t even stand a chance. He’s up against some of the smartest people in the world. It looks like he’s one of those arrogant people who’s missing the point about trivia, and instead resorts to anger and frustration to make himself feel better (via Constative).

Reddit

Kicking The Ball In Rage

At least this Reddit user was one of those arrogant people that admitted to their arrogance. They seem like they recognize they deserved the punishment. In an angry rage, they kicked the basketball a bit too roughly, probably because they were losing. There’s never any reason to kick a basketball with such anger, but it happened.

Shutterstock

They quickly learned their lesson, though, like many other people on this list. The basketball came straight back down and onto their head. That’s certainly one way to learn (via Reddit).

Constative

All That Privilege

Again, we’re seeing another instance when rich and famous people think they’re entitled. Not only did they “forget” to pay their tab, but they then proceeded to claim that they owned the bar. Luckily, this waitress stood her ground and told them her family owned the bar, they had to pay their tab, and that their tab privileges were revoked.

Shutterstock

It’s the best response she could’ve given. It’s a shame they still threw a tantrum, considering it’s a local business they’re supporting, and they already have tons of money. If you’re going to go to a bar and spend that kind of money, you shouldn’t complain about having to pay for it. It’s ridiculous (via Constative).

Constative

Power Player Women

One of the greatest lessons from all the stories on this list is to not be one of those arrogant people who get too cocky before they know who they’re talking to. DC is full of arrogant men who patronize gray-haired women. They suddenly realize they’re up against a power player, and then suddenly back down. It’s a shame, though, that they even do it in the first place.

Shutterstock

One time is enough and should teach them a lesson. Again, people need to treat each other equally and with the same respect all around. It’s sad these men walk around with their heads held high, treating others as lesser than them (via Constative).

Constative

Over-Scheduled American Kid

Some parents want what’s best for their children, which can sometimes be too much. They’re kids, after all, not adults working a 9-5 with a side hustle in between. It’s ridiculous that these children don’t have time to be children. They’re going to grow up already burnt out from years of over-scheduling. It seems like Tim, the parent of the over-scheduled child, is overworked himself.

Shutterstock

He’s one of those arrogant people that walk around thinking he’s doing the world well, meanwhile, he’s harming the lives of his child and making himself look like a fool. On a voice conference call, he ended up falling asleep because he was so tired. It looks like he’s the one that needs to stop working so much. There’s nothing wrong with taking time for yourself it’s a sign of strength (via Constative).

Constative

Trying Too Hard

Bullies always have something to prove. For some reason, they think they’re bigger, stronger, and smarter than everyone around them. It’s a common pattern we see time and time again. These bullies need to relax and realize that they’re the same as everyone else and that everyone has different skills and hobbies they’re better at. No one deserves to be bullied.

This arrogant person tried to challenge a girl who was smaller than them to a bench pressing competition. He told her she was trying too hard, but meanwhile, he was the one that was trying too hard. She beat him in the competition. Little did he know, she went to the weight room every morning. He messed with the wrong girl (via Constative).

Know When To Back Down

It takes a lot of courage to back down from a fight. At first, it can seem like a good idea, but it’s usually not. Backing down saves a lot of physical and mental damage. This arrogant person learned his lesson when he backed down from a fight. At first, he thought it’d be two guys arguing, but it quickly went south when he realized the guy wanted to physically fight.

Since he wasn’t up for it, he decided to take a deep breath and back down. He prevented a massive fight from happening, and probably even saved himself from getting a black eye or two. He’s one of the smarter arrogant people on this list and didn’t have to learn his lesson the hard way (via Constative).

Abstained From Voting

When this junior ran for VP, she was up against no one, which meant she would automatically win. But because she ran her mouth and put other people down, the students had to act fast. In the end, they collectively made her lose by abstaining from voting.

They’d rather not have a VP than have her. Even though that’s a harsh way to lose, it hopefully made her realize her bad behavior and how it affects other people. It’s quite humiliating to lose to no one too, especially when it’s because no one wanted you to win (via Constative).

Goodbye Pat

Pat was one of those arrogant people who thinks he was better than everyone in the entire school. Just because he’s an all-star athlete, it doesn’t mean he can treat other people as below him. His lessons were coming, whether he wanted them to or not. It’s wonderful that the kid with disabilities was the one who beat Pat to an arm wrestling match. Without fail, this kid showed him who’s boss.

It’s apparent you don’t need to be an all-star athlete to be good at arm wrestling. Better yet, the kid let Pat use the tool anyway. He’s the bigger person at the end of this story, and hopefully Pat learned a lesson or two about treating people with kindness (via Constative).

How Dare He

We can’t believe people like this exist. This guy is one of those arrogant people who think the world owes him something, and that he’s better than everyone else. He’s irritating and extremely rude. It almost seems like a made-up story. Why would one of your friends try and steal your girlfriend in front of your face?

At least he was quickly put in his place when the girlfriend spent five minutes telling him off. You have to be a certain type of person to think you can do this to someone, and we’re not talking about the good kind (via Constative).

Becoming Humble

We tend to think we’re better at something than we are, at least in the beginning. This new father became one of those arrogant people who thought he could run around and brag about how good of a dad he is. Because he thought he was a hot shot, he offered to change the baby’s diaper.

In a matter of seconds, the baby managed to humble him by peeing on his face and pooping all over his hands. That sounds extremely unpleasant and is certainly one way to learn your lesson. At least this dad took this lesson and felt grateful for it. He still has a lot to learn, but at least he’s on the right track (via Constative).

Thanks For The Chuckle

This guy must have a lot more going on than meets the eye. He’s hiding it with his arrogance. Since he seems like a sore loser, it’s probably a good thing he switched shifts and was eventually fired.

Honestly, we probably would’ve chuckled too if the arrogant person we won to was also fired, but it’s always better to take the high road and have compassion no matter what. Karma always does its job (via Constative).

High Ego

It’s sad to hear that people feel guilty when they get something right. It all stems from a lack of self-confidence and limiting beliefs that people that are more popular and faster at math should get the correct answers. We’re all great at some things and horrible at others, and oftentimes, it takes us longer to accomplish something than others.

Wren Kitchens

That’s what makes people so special, their uniqueness. These confidence people could be taken down a notch or two, and should even praise this guy for answering difficult math questions correctly (via Constative).

Space Invading Cow

Some people don’t have any spatial awareness, including this woman. She thinks that just because she’s on the train, she can stick her knees and elbows anywhere she wants. No one wants to touch the stranger next to them, so we can understand how this Reddit user was feeling.

Shutterstock

She’s one of those arrogant people that think she deserves all of the extra leg room that’s available. Fortunately, she received instant karma when the ticket guy came around and found out she was trying to ride the train without a ticket. As a space-invading cow, that’s exactly what she deserves (via Reddit).

You Don’t Belong Here

When we start a new job, we sometimes feel like we have to accentuate every move and act the part. There are tons of people to impress, after all, and we need to quickly become one of the most likable people on the job. That’s how promotions work.

Shutterstock

When this new guy showed up at the office, he acted like he knew everything and tried to impress everyone around him. It didn’t end up well for him, because when he finished his presentation, one of the people in upper management told him “you’re an actor, you don’t belong here.” Harsh. He deserved it, though, and hopefully, that comment humbled him (via Constative).
