The former Governor of California called his divorce from Shriver ‘the biggest failure’ of his life. It came after Schwarzenegger admitted that he fathered a child with a member of their household staff. Needless to say, this didn’t please Shriver and she filed for divorce. But it took the couple 10 years to finalize the end of their relationship.

This immediately captured the media’s attention but there wasn’t a lot of drama to report. It’s unclear why it took so long for them to sign off but in the end, they legally separated. Shriver received 50 percent of her ex-husband’s SAG producer’s pension. It’s estimated that she may have walked away with about $200 million (via NBC News).
