This legendary British pop star once notoriously bought a steam engine when he was high on cocaine. It’s fair to say that he had a dubious relationship with the drug. He spent 16 years abusing cocaine and other substances before cleaning his act up for 30 years (via The Guardian).
Rehab played a big role in his recovery. However, he says that he also recognized his vulnerability. John said: “I still dream, twice a week at least, that I’ve taken cocaine and I have it up my nose. And it’s very vivid and it’s very upsetting, but at least it’s a wake-up call.”
