The Madison campus of the University of Wisconsin is the most affordable college to go to in Wisconsin. It’s located in the capital city of Wisconsin and is considered the official state university of Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-Madison is also the largest and oldest school in Wisconsin. The university’s campus spans 933 acres and includes four National Historic Landmarks. You can choose from more than 136 Bachelor’s, 148 Master’s, and 120 Doctoral programs.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison costs roughly $20,934 per year to attend. Tuition is $10,488, or $5,244 per semester. Room and board will set you back $10,446 each year.

Wyoming — University of Wyoming

In Wyoming, the most affordable school is the University of Wyoming. The school is in Laramie, Wyoming, which is west of the capital city of Cheyenne. It sits on the high Laramie Plains between the Snowy Range and Laramie mountains at a 7,220 feet elevation. The University of Wyoming was established in 1886, four years before Wyoming officially became a state. Its location is actually written into Wyoming’s constitution. Students can attend one of seven colleges that comprise the University of Wyoming.

It costs roughly $15,375 per year to attend the University of Wyoming. Tuition is $5,055, or $2,527.50 per semester. Room and board will set you back $10,320 each year.
