Before her rise to fame in the drama Criminal Minds, Brewster was on Friends and had the privilege to meet Perry. She wrote, “I’m so very sad to hear about Matthew Perry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though. He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there.” Everyone who remembers Perry recognized his lighthearted humor and the way he truly loved those around him.
She recalls the time she spent on Friends, saying, “It was my first real acting job. I remember so little because I was so scared! The cast was so kind to me When I was guesting on Friends, when I wasn’t in a scene on shoot nights, I climbed up into the lighting catwalks above the stage and audience to watch everyone. A huge insurance no-no. I regret none of it.” She became quite close with all the actors in Friends, especially Matthew Perry (via CBS News).
