This is something that’s probably happened to more people than we think. It’s something that should be checked by a psychologist, but at least this Reddit user was able to snap out of it. It was probably triggered by smoking. We can’t imagine sitting in a familiar place, and then suddenly being unable to recognize where you are. That sounds horrible and is one of those real-life scares that we hope would never, ever happen to us. This Reddit user sounds like they handled it pretty well, by only shaking their head in a “no” gesture, and somehow managing to shake it off. This sounds like a living nightmare and something from a horror movie. It’s one of those real-life scares you wish you could remove from your memory. We feel sorry for this Reddit user. They’re probably scarred for life. We sure would be. We can’t even imagine what that man was going through, and why he was so calm about the whole thing. This is one of our worst nightmares and on par with the creepy guy in the gas station bathroom. Apparently, an older man followed this Reddit user for a while until they managed to escape on the highway. It’s one of those real-life scares we always hear about, but hope never happens to us. And this happened in broad daylight. Imagine it happened at nighttime? We’d drive straight to the police station. Luckily, they managed to escape unharmed (via Hbananta).

This is another one of those strange phenomena we’ll never have the answer to. It’s similar to the Bermuda Triangle. Why are there so many car crashes here? Is it because of the intersection’s layout? Or is it because it’s haunted? These kinds of real-life scares make us question the world.
