He was the mayor of New York City and served for 12 years. Bloomberg was born in 1942 in Boston as the son of a bookkeeper. After attending Johns Hopkins University, he went to Harvard University to earn a Master of Business Administration degree in 1966.

At the age of 78, this American tycoon, author, philanthropist, and politician served as Chairman of the board of trustees at Johns Hopkins University from 1996 to 2002. He ran for president in an ultimately relatively unsuccessful bid in 2020, failing to gain much of any support in the first in the nation Iowa Caucuses in February 2020.
