The Most Controversial Facts About Freddie Mercury’s Life

No One Believed In Bohemian Rhapsody

When Freddie first came up with Bohemian Rhapsody, no one knew it would be one of the greatest hits of all time. Before going out to dinner, Freddie played the opening ballad piece for Producer Roy Thomas Baker. He said: “He played the beginning on the piano, then stopped and said, ‘And this is where the opera section comes in!’ Then we went out to eat dinner.” It seems extremely nonchalant for a piece that would break news titles and be one of the most-played songs in history (via History By Day).
