Now this girl’s dad is definitely something. Apparently, right after she dyed her hair, he suggested that she rinsed her hair in the shower. What none of them knew though, was that that was terrible advice.
When she finished the shower, the dye had spread everywhere, and to make matters even worse, the dad decided to share the entire ordeal online.
This person was kind enough to share someone’s experience for “educational purposes.” According to the online user, someone dyed her hair at home, and in order to control the frizz, she put on a relaxer right away.
Unfortunately, the chemicals didn’t go so well together, and sadly, she began losing huge chunks of hair and there was no way she could salvage the situation.
Perhaps the worst part of it was the fact that the day after was his first day back at work, yikes!
Some people are hairier than others, that’s a fact. And while some decide to wax, pluck and shave as much as they can, others embrace their hairiness and rock it just as this person did.
She chose to bring the bushy eyebrow trend back to the books and even gave it a little spice by combing them upwards. She definitely deserves some credit for the effort!
By now, it’s safe to say that quite a considerable number of people are allergic to hair dye out there. Unfortunately, it seems like they only find out once the damage is done.
Like this person’s mom, who took everyone by surprise once the hair dye started having an effect on her body. It didn’t take very long for her face to have a huge allergic reaction!
As soon as she dyed her hair, her body started having an allergic reaction that seemed to be pretty painful.
After making plans with her friends, this girl thought it was time for a change. So she bought some purple hair dye and was ready to go for it. But by the looks of this picture and the caption she shared with it, something along the way definitely went wrong.
Either she didn’t read the instructions, or they were really unclear because she ended up getting purple dye on her entire face, on her hands, and even on the mirror.
If you are not 100% sure that you are not allergic to one or more of the ingredients on your hair dye, then the best thing to do is test it. As explained by this unlucky DIY dyer, the instructions were pretty clear when it came to testing the dye before using it all over her hair.
According to her, she totally should have done it before she decided to go for it on her entire head. At least now she knows not to rush into it the next time around.
So when this person’s box of hair color mysteriously exploded, they couldn’t believe their eyes. The entire bathroom looked like a horror movie, and cleaning it was probably a nightmare.
Hair fails don’t only happen in our actual hair, they may also take place in our eyebrows, beards and mustaches, and anything else that contains hair really.
This woman was spotted at the Jeremy Kyle Show wearing the thinnest eyebrows out there. While the thin eyebrow trend was certainly a hype back in the days, they are not so popular today.
Here is another very important lesson to learn for those who plan to dye their hair by themselves. There are a few things that you shouldn’t do right after you dye your hair, and cuddling with your partner is sadly one of them.
Clearly, this person cuddled with her husband right after she dyed her hair, and the remains stayed for a while on his arm. All we hope is that the cuddle session was worth it!
As she shows in the picture sequence, things went from bad to worse really quickly, and she couldn’t do much about it. At least the end result looks somewhat fixable.
So, this mom and daughter duo apparently went through a small incident that ended up being really fun for the little girl. Pink is her favorite color, so when a faulty bottle of hair color dyed almost her entire body, the young girl couldn’t really be that bothered.
Her mom tried her best to clean the thing off her body, but as we know by now, that wasn’t a very easy task. Thankfully, the little girl took things pretty well.
Although things clearly didn’t go so well for this guy, he was enthusiastic enough to track his progress as he experienced one of the worst allergic reactions of his life.
The guy was just trying to make a little change, but didn’t realize he was allergic until it was too late. He was kind enough to share his pictures with his siblings, and hopefully went ahead and took those antihistamines right away.
We doubt that the extremely thick eyebrow trend is here to stay, but hey, she definitely gets an A+ for her creativity and for trying something different.
Here goes another unlucky person who actually followed all instructions and later realized that there had been a little bump in the road. While she did wear gloves, as was recommended in the instructions, she didn’t realize that they had a little problem.
One of the glove fingers was broken, so her entire middle finger ended up blue. Hopefully, the unwanted dye didn’t last too long on and she was able to find a way to remove it.
To be completely fair, many people wouldn’t be able to tell whether this girl’s eyebrows are naturally that expressive or whether she purposely made them that way. Who knows, some people could simply be born with eyebrows that have naturally high arches.
While the pose definitely didn’t help her case in this photo, she does seem pretty happy about the result and that’s all that matters!
As it turns out, she should have probably let her friend go to beauty school first, and then volunteer her hair for some fun coloring.
Now, we’re not really sure she person managed to do this, but she actually succeeded in dyeing everything with the exception of her hair. It’s possible that the dye is not as bold in her hair because of her natural dark brown color, but just how unlucky do you have to be to get this result?
We understand her fingers being blue but her corneas? How could the dye possibly reach her eyes?
One more lesson, check your surroundings properly before dyeing your hair. And if there is one thing you should certainly not have around you before you start the DIY process, is electronics. This person probably thought nothing was going to happen to their laptop, but they were wrong.
As you see in this picture, little drops of color now cover the laptop, but we have to admit it looks kind of cool.
In fact, she was so upset that she vowed to sue the company that sold the product. We hope she wins the case!
The result was certainly interesting, as she ended up with very high eyebrows and a huge gap in the middle that is impossible to ignore. But hey, we can’t say she isn’t totally rocking the look.
It seems like having an allergic reaction to hair dye is a painful and common experience. While we are grateful that people document their struggles to create awareness around the subject, we can’t help but feel bad for them.
The good thing about it is that even though the reactions seem to be pretty bad, they could be easily fixed with the right treatment.
But if one must really do so, it might be better to just buy a proper shower cap for it so that accidents like this don’t happen.
Wigs are a favorite for many people, but while some think that maintaining one is the easiest thing in the world, this person shows us just how troublesome the process can be. Wigs require treatments, washing, and brushing just like natural hair.
So when this person went ahead and dyed their wig pink, they couldn’t help but notice that the aftermath was a little too messy.
While some people have messy processes and others have allergic reactions to dyeing their hair, others, like this guy, have some sort of resistance to hair dye. Very enthusiastically, he asked his partner to help him dye his hair blue.
They followed all instructions, waited for the period of time they had to, but once he washed it off, it was like nothing had ever happened.
Unfortunately for this person, her husband didn’t really read the whole memo on how to dye another person’s hair. The result? Her entire forehead and parts of her face were dyed too.
To be completely honest, whichever color is on this person’s hair, it looks pretty great! But they weren’t happy, and we can totally understand why. They bought some blonde dye at the supermarket, and after finishing the process their hair was definitely not blonde.
So to warn others, they posted a photo of the disaster online and captioned it with some advice for the folks with black hair out there.
There are so many important tips that we’re getting about dyeing, and washing our hair in the shower after dyeing it seems to be one of the biggest no-nos. It’s just better to keep that dye confined to the hair and away from the body as long as possible.
Thankfully, people seem to take it in a very positive way, so we’re guessing that cleaning up all of that dye is not the worst thing in the world.
He did seem pretty calm about the fact that half of his hair had been burned, so we definitely admire that!
Even for the people who follow the instructions, buy the proper gloves, and even do an allergy test, things may not always go according to plan. Look at this person’s luck for example.
They had actually put on the hair dye gloves, the only problem was that the gloves were put the other way around. The result was a wonderful blue hand.
And then there is this person, who had no idea they were supposed to wear gloves when they dyed their hair. We have a feeling that the tip was in the instructions, but sometimes we just fail to read the entire process.
In the end, she learned the hard way that if she ever dyes her hair again, a pair of gloves (properly worn) is the safest way to do it.
Now, to each their own, but we’re guessing that this temporary experiment didn’t last very long. At least the baby will get to laugh about it once they grow up.
Sadly though, something didn’t go so well and he ended up having his skin dyed, and getting a very different mustache from the one he expected.

A few things changed, she stopped plucking and started filling, refrained from bleaching her eyebrows, and used a browliner instead, and the result was wonderful!

In this woman’s case, using her local grocery store’s plastic bag only led the store’s logo to be transferred directly into her hair, and she was not happy about it.
Luckily, she was able to get her hair back to blonde about 10 hours after.
We all go through some interesting phases while growing up. That may reflect on the clothes we wear, the hair color we choose, the type and amount of make-up we put on, and of course, on how we choose to wear our eyebrows.
