Some things in life are out of our control. While we can try and control a business, we can’t control accidents. Amazon was about to acquire this Reddit user’s business. However, life had different plans for them. Doctors diagnosed their lead developer with aggressive stage four cancer and he passed away several weeks later. Amazon backed out because of it, and its business eventually failed brutally. It’s a very sad outcome, but unfortunately, there isn’t anything they could have done to prevent it (via pwnies).
