Playing the part is an important aspect of being a professional, successful actor. Musician Rob Zombie takes this a bit too literally. This Reddit user reported they were at a Zombie concert in Oklahoma City. He doesn’t shower during tours so he purposefully smells like a zombie. Does he realize how much he sweats on stage? That means he lets all that toxic discharge stick to his skin for weeks on end. The Reddit user was about 60 feet away from the star and could smell him from where he stood. He smelled like death and body odor, which sounds like an accurate statement for someone who rarely showers (via The Real Kuni).

We’re seeing another prime example of a famous actor taking his role a bit too seriously. When Shia LaBeouf played in the movie Fury, he wanted to take in every aspect of his character so he was fully in the role. Unfortunately, this meant not showering, since his character was going through the deprivations of war. He refused to shower for weeks on end, and smelled so bad, that the other members on set couldn’t stand to be around him. To find a solution, they moved him into different lodging, away from everyone else. It’s also reported that he pulled out his tooth on set. He especially angered his co-star, Brad Pitt, who had to work side by side with him (via Daily Mail).
