At least this Reddit user was one of those arrogant people that admitted to their arrogance. They seem like they recognize they deserved the punishment. In an angry rage, they kicked the basketball a bit too roughly, probably because they were losing. There’s never any reason to kick a basketball with such anger, but it happened. 

They quickly learned their lesson, though, like many other people on this list. The basketball came straight back down and onto their head. That’s certainly one way to learn (via Reddit).
