Traveling is one of the greatest ways to broaden your mind and give you new perspectives. While there are many wonderful cities out there to visit, there are simply many others where you shouldn’t step foot in. To warn all of you seasoned world travelers or ones thinking about making a journey, we’ve compiled a list of the most dangerous cities in the world.

Unfortunately, these dangerous cities have murder and crime rates that’ll make your jaw drop. For some reason, they seem to attract crime and murder. Many of these cities are located in Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and the U.S.A. If you find yourself traversing any of these countries, then keep an eye out and make sure you don’t accidentally stumble into a city notorious for its danger and murder rates. Use this guide below to know which cities are truly the most dangerous in the world.

We’ll start with good ‘ol New Orleans, Louisiana. Even though it has the lowest murder rate out of all of these cities, it still has a high murder rate that makes it one of the most dangerous cities in the world. It has a murder rate of 36.87 per 100,000. Even though it’s a touristy and popular place to visit, it’s still unsafe.
