It used to be that nannies took the main role in raising royal children, especially during the 1800s and early to mid-1900s. However, this is also another example of royal traditions that have changed recently. While Prince William and Kate do have nannies, it is also obvious that the parents are more involved with raising their children than previous generations. It started with Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
Prince William and Kate have even chosen to take their young children on tours with the help of the nannies, of course. After all, there are many events the parents need to attend that aren’t suitable for young children. Not because they are inappropriate; rather, kids will become too bored or uncomfortable.
