19. Save Money By Ordering Separate Items

You can save money by ordering certain items separately, and combining them on your own. For example, you can order a sausage muffin for $1.29 and a round egg on the side for $1. This makes it $1 cheaper than a $3.29 Sausage Egg McMuffin, even though it’s literally the same exact ingredients!

18. Skip the Big Mac

It’s FREE to add one serving of a condiment to your hamburger, which means that by asking for lettuce and secret sauce, you can basically turn a McDouble into a Big Mac. Just keep in mind that if you ask for “extra” of any topping that is already included on the original burger, they count that as two servings, and you will be charged a few extra cents.

16. The Secret to Getting Better Service

Secret shoppers visit McDonald’s to evaluate their customer service and the quality of their food. They have to upload their receipts to get reimbursed for their meal. So just by asking for your receipt at checkout, employees will automatically treat you better and give you the freshest food, just in case you’re that secret shopper.

Some people love getting apple pies for dessert, and “holiday pies” are especially popular in December. But You might want to skip buying breakfast burritos and apple pies throughout the rest of the year. Since they are almost never ordered, the same items sit on the shelf all day long, so they probably won’t be fresh.

10. No Ice Cream For You

5. There is Always an Added Wait Time to Special Orders

3. Double the Toppings, Double the Price

As we mentioned earlier, it’s free to ask for additional condiments on your sandwich, so long as the burger you ordered did not have it already. For example, When you ask for extra lettuce on a big mac, they will charge you 20 cents extra, because the big mac already had one serving of lettuce. The same goes for any time you order double the normal amount of a condiment.

2. Beware of the Chicken Nugget Dipping Sauces

McDonald’s has a “sauce policy” for their McNuggets, so you get more packets for free the bigger your order gets. Extra sauce packets are 25 cents each, so if you ask for too many, don’t be surprised if your total bill is a bit higher than normal.

1. Healthy Eating Means Longer Wait Times
